This talk presents a very exciting technology platform for grid-scale stationary energy storage: metal-H2 batteries including Ni-H2 and Mn-H2. The metal-H2 batteries offer the following attractive characteristics :1) Extremely long calendar life and cycle life (30 years, 30,000 cycles); 2) Working in wide temperature range of -40 to +60C; 3) Very fast charge/discharge; 4) Outstanding safety; 5) Low levelized cost of energy storage.
