Abe, Takeshi

Kyoto University, Japan

    Dr. Takeshi Abe is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Energy and Hydrocarbon Chemistry at the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University, where he also earned his PhD in 1996. A leading global authority in electrochemistry and energy storage, his research is centered on understanding and optimizing the fundamental science of battery interfaces and components. His career has focused significantly on improving the performance and safety of existing lithium-ion batteries and developing next-generation technologies, including rechargeable magnesium and aqueous zinc batteries.
    With a prolific publication record of over 250 papers and an editorial role at theĀ Journal of Power Sources, Dr. Abe is highly regarded in the field. He has received multiple prestigious accolades for his technical contributions, including the Battery Technology Award from the Electrochemical Society of Japan. His ongoing work continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in high-efficiency, sustainable energy storage solutions.
